The UCA-SEA Innovation and Transfer Center welcomed representatives from the CERNAVAL shipyard today. The delegation was composed of Enrique Pérez, Commercial Director, Jesús Burgos, and Eduardo Ruiz. During their visit, they presented the facilities and services offered at their port premises in Campamento (San Roque). In turn, the researchers from the Smart Manufacturing Lab showcased their equipment and the services they offer to companies. This meeting marked the beginning of the search for collaboration opportunities between the University and the shipyard in technological innovation applied to ship repair services.

The estudiantes del WPI hosted by UCA-SEA this semester took advantage of the visit to gather information for their project ‘Evaluating the feasibility of WAAM for ship repair in Algeciras’.
