Blanca Gema Silva García holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency from the University of Cádiz. Her Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, the latter awarded the Dipuinnova 2024 Prize for the Best Master’s Thesis and a finalist in the Elevator Pitch at the IX International Meeting on Sustainable Development organized by the Campus Tecnológico Foundation of Algeciras and the University of Cádiz, focused on the integration of sustainable solutions in advanced manufacturing and the valorization of polymers. With over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, her career in highly prestigious multinational companies has provided her with a solid practical foundation in operations, system optimization, industrial safety, and process improvement. Continuing her involvement as a collaborating student, she begins her predoctoral research phase in the 2024-2025 academic year within the Doctoral Program in Energy Technologies and Materials Applied to Sustainable Engineering and Industrial Ecology at the University of Cádiz (UCA).
